Our Story

Ocean Curls started with a simple observation: curly hair looks its best after a day at the beach.

Salt, sun and sea air give curls a shape and texture that is almost impossible to get out of a bathroom cabinet. The catch is what the ocean does alongside it. Real seawater strips moisture, so the curls that looked so good at four in the afternoon are dry and frizzy by the next morning.

So we built a routine that gives you the first part without the second.

What we make

Four products, in the order you use them.

Cleanse. Ocean Curl Shampoo is sulphate-free, so it lifts away build-up without stripping the natural oils that hold a curl pattern together.

Condition. Ocean Curls Conditioner is deep moisture with ocean minerals, for curls that stay soft and defined rather than crunchy.

Style. Ocean Curls Leave-In Curl Cream goes on wet hair and stays there, holding definition through the day.

Finish. Ocean Mist Sea Salt Spray is the beach texture, without the beach damage.

Ocean Curls is Australian. Our products are made in Australia with thoughtfully selected, hair-loving ingredients, and every order is packed by hand and sent from Murrumba Downs, just north of Brisbane in Queensland.

We ship anywhere in Australia and across to New Zealand. Orders of $51 or more ship free within Australia.

How we work

Ocean Curls is a young, independent business. Emails go to a real person rather than a queue.

If something arrives damaged, or a product simply does not work the way you hoped, write to info@oceancurls.com.au. There is a 30-day return window on everything, and if a return is approved we send you a prepaid Australia Post label, so sending it back costs you nothing.
